butterflies and deep breaths. excitement from fingertips to toes. what you’ve wanted so bad and desired in your depths. right now so close. just to hold to her in your arms. to gaze into her eyes. her lips, hips and thighs. oh my, oh my. butterflies and deep breaths.

a sunday oscar evening reading old poems in the rain. strawberry cough trainspotting for weeds and we were driving cross country in the fall of 2001. my first autumn outta academics. i was supposed to go to india, but 1 tuesday morning plans changed and did for a lot of people. in that crisp boston bluebird sky, an occasional fighter jet streaked. the open american road beckoned. comrades and cinema, whitman and kerouac. johnny cash sang for our sunset in iowa. there were friends with places to stay all along the way. we dug chicago and portland, stayed in san francisco for days. halloween elvis in heels. and by the time we made it down the coast to los angeles, sitting on a beach in malibu, i knew this is where i’d live. i spend a lot of time doing things or lying in bed. writing poems, singing songs, making love to the moon and the rain, the stars and the sun. sometimes the words dribble like jordan down the lane in the air 23 flying and if we all took the time just to let it all go with no self consciousness or thinkin like we no, just an ease into the breeze of the flow of the woah of the know of the heart beats gold gratitude grounded and bold. blessings and bliss in the kiss of your kiss. sometimes you gotta drop it, to catch it.

the best chorus i have heard in sometime.
I drove for miles in a city trance
I came to ask for a second chance
But I won’t dance, no I won’t dance
I came for miles on a broken wheel
I came to see whether love can heal
But I won’t kneel, no I won’t kneel
groove armada “i won’t kneel”

what a day for a day.
up past the dawn in lust and longing. to sleep away the day in dreams. and upon awakening as the sun doth set; with work, awards, family, friends, lovers, smoke and prayers. everything is alright 2nite.
